What is Sinomarin®?

Sinomarin® is a 100% natural, hypertonic seawater solution. It is the first and only complete line of hypertonic sea water solutions with a concentration of Sodium Chloride (NaCl) of 2.3% that provides safe and effective nasal decongestion in addition to nasal washout.

The seawater of Sinomarin® is derived from a seawater source at Cancale near Saint Malo, France, area characterized by high tides reaching 12 meters every 6 hours, and strong currents, which means that the water is constantly renewed and oxygenated.It is one of the few seawater sources operating under the license and control of the French Water Authorities and satisfying the standards imposed by the French Ministry of Health. The seawater is thus unquestionably pure and its quality guaranteed.

Sinomarin® is a CE-Mark-bearing medical device holding a patent in key territories. It is composed of 70% seawater and 30% distilled water thus resulting in a concentration of 2.3% NaCl. Sinomarin® thus also contains a higher concentration of mineral salts and trace elements than isotonic seawater solution or physiological saline solutions (that do not contain any).

Sinomarin® does NOT contain preservatives.
Sinomarin® is classified as non-irritant by the University of Bordeaux.

How does Sinomarin work?

Sinomarin® has a triple system of action:

Physicochemical – due to the osmosis effect Sinomarin® draws-out excess water, reducing the edema of the nasal mucosa and provides faster and more effective decongestion of the nasal cavity.

Antibacterial – Sinomarin® contains sea water minerals and trace elements that protect from nasal infections, help reduce nasal congestion and have antiseptic and antibacterial properties;

Mechanical – the spray’s delicate mist helps in cleaning the nasal cavity from excess mucous, crusts, dust, debris, pollutants, allergens, germs in a natural way;

Indications for using Sinomarin

sinomarinANDpregnancySinomarin® works alone but can also be used as an adjuvant therapy, in which case Sinomarin® indirectly enhances the action of pharmaceutical nasal treatments (topical corticosteroids, decongestants or antihistamines), helps decrease treatment duration and may lead to reduced intake.

Sinomarin® Babies is a 100% natural, clinically proven nasal decongestant. It is a hypertonic sea water solution (2.3% NaCl) rich with the sea’s beneficial ingredients (mineral salts and trace elements).
Sinomarin® Babies is ideal for infants and babies as it helps cleanse the nasal cavities, eliminating mucous and mucous-trapped impurities, thus preventing nasal and secondary ENT infections and complications e.g. otitis. Sinomarin® Babies helps decongest nasal cavities via the natural mechanism of osmosis, restoring nasal breathing naturally. Sinomarin® Babies helps alleviate symptoms linked to nasal congestion.

Description: 18×5 ml single dose vials for infants and babies.
Composition per vial: Sea water 3.5 ml, Purified water q.s. 5 ml, equivalent to 23g/L NaCl (2.3%).
Preservative-free. Drug-free. Chemical additives-free. 100% natural.
Recommended dosage: a few drops in each nostril, 2 to 3 times daily, or as per physicians’ instructions. In cases of thick and superfluous mucous, a larger volume may be safely introduced in each nostril.

1. Wipe baby’s nose clean before using Sinomarin® Babies.
2. Break-off one vial from strip.
3. Twist tip to open vial.
4. Place baby in supine position turning its head to the right.
5. Introduce tip of vial carefully into the left nostril and press to release the desired quantity.
6. Turn baby’s head to opposite side and repeat application in the other nostril.
7. Repeat procedure if necessary.
8. Remove vial from baby’s nostril, return baby to upright position while allowing solution to work for a few seconds and then wipe the nose clean or use an aspirating device to remove mucous.

4. Bend neck gently forward over a wash basin and tilt head to the right.
5. Gently insert applicator into the left nostril parallel to the nose and press firmly.
6. Turn head to opposite side and repeat application in other nostril.
7. Remove spray from nostril, return to upright position while allowing solution to work for a few seconds and then blow the nose.
8. Repeat procedure if necessary.
9. Wash applicator well with warm water and wipe dry after each use.

Sinomarin® ENT is a 100% natural, clinically proven nasal decongestant. It is a hypertonic sea water solution (2.3% NaCl) rich with the sea’s beneficial ingredients (mineral salts and trace elements). Sinomarin® ENT is ideal for nasal irrigation in cases of viscous and/or purulent nasal secretions, and following endonasal surgery. It thoroughly cleanses the nasal cavity, promotes recovery and prevents post-surgical infections and complications.
Its effectiveness is attributed to two key features:
