Why Bicon?

The Bicon implant was designed to restore dentitions without using screws.
For this reason, clinicians, technicians, and patients do not experience the limitations and frustrations inherent with the use of screws.

Short Implants

When the Bicon system was first introduced in 1985, its 8.0mmlength implants were consideredshort — most other implants were at least 12–14mm and sometimes18–20mm long! Since then, the natural progression of Bicon’sdesign philosophy has resulted in 5.0mm, 5.7mm, and 6.0mm shortimplants, all with proven clinicalsuccesssince 1977.

With Bicon’s Short Implants you can:

  • Avoid vital structures
  • Minimize bone grafting procedures
  • Maximize implant placement possibilities
  • Increase patient acceptance
  • Offer a clinically proven solution
  • Offer single unit restorations without splinting

The Bicon System

  • Bicon’s sloping shoulder affords more flexibility at time of implant placement and provides for impressive bone maintenance. It also provides more room for bone over the implant and enables aesthetic gingival contours to be easily and consistently achieved.
  • Bicon’s 1.5˚ locking taper provides a proven bacterial seal at the implant to abutment interface, virtually eliminatinga micro gap - less than 0.5 microns. It also allows for 360˚ of universal abutment positioning.
  • Bicon’s Narrow Implantsfacilitate the restorationof maxillary lateral incisorsas well as individualmandibular incisors.
  • Bicon’s Short Implants maximize implant placement possibilities and minimize the need for grafting procedures.
  • Bicon’s plateau or fin design offers at least 30% more surface area than a screw implant of the same dimensions and allows for the callus formation of mature, cortical-like, haversian bone between the fins of the implant.
  • Bicon’s IAC™ is a revolutionary cementless and screwless restoration without any discernible crown-abutment interface.
